I needed to model a cartoon car from the Wright Brothers era, and I chose a Buick to caricature. The finished model is a very simple design because it needed to fit into the style of the cartoon, which is very simple, mostly 2D. After modeling the car using polygons, it was then intentional distorted (distressed) to give it some character.
The model was built in Autodesk Maya, and here are the elevations:

On a side note, I’ve been listening to a lot of old Casey Kasem’s “American Top 40′ broadcasts as research for another project, and he always ended his show with “Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars.” I like that.
